Explanation / Answer
1)Peter singer has mentioned in his book on animal living where he describes the torture done to the animals due to their killing in the forests for skin, wool, hide and their usage in the development of leather products and clothes. He also explains the use of animals for personal pleasure and entertainment of the people in the society. There are various laws decided by the government on the killing and trading of the animals for personal benefits, clothing and trading in the society. He describes his meetings with his vegetaranian friends who did not eat meat. The slaughetring of the animals is done in the meat houses everyday to produce chicken and meat whereas millions of rats are killed everyday in experiments to find cure for various diseases by scientists. In this situations the killing is not considered cruelty as it is of use to the mankind.
2)Mark Sagoff discusses the importance of human cultures and the society in the rearing of the animals and their significance. The animal liberation book discusses the inhuman rearing of the animals by humans. In this theory he mentions the sentiments and emotions of the people in the society to fight against the inhuman killing of the animals in the forests. it is different from the natural ecological habitat where a cat will kill a mouse for a living, which is very well balanced in the ecological system. He further explains the death of the animals in the forests and other regions due to the change in the weather conditions and due to infections by microorganisms. The cutting of trees and pollution has led to a further change in the environment which has changed the natural habitat of many animals.
3)Singer work on animal ethics and Mark Sagoff work on animal liberation are similar where the singer work discourages the use of animals for personal enjoyment, entertainment and prohibits the merciless killing of the animals. Singer work includes the demonstration by the people with movements and protests on the roads as a resolution to stop the inhuman killing of the animals.Peter Singer has a utilitarian concept.Mark Sagoff work considers the human community living near the animals and their interest in killing the animals. He further discusses the role of the ecosystem, climate and the environment is analyzing the natural habitat of the animals, their movements and living in the forests. Mark Sagoff has a environmentalist concept as an animal environmentalist cannot be an animal liberationalist as both the views are different. The Mark Sagoff views are mentioned in the views of Leopold.
4)Singer work is concerened with just the welfare of the animals whereas the Sagoff and the Leopold work is concerned with the the diappearance and the extinction of the animals in the natural habitat. The factors are deciphered for the sudden dissapearance of the animals due to the changes in the climate and infection caused by microorganisms. The work of sagoff is better as compared to singer. The environmentalist has a lot of focus in the preservation of the animals and their prevention from extinction.
5) Singer work concerns about the inhuman killing of the animals for food, leather industry and clothing which may be beneficial for the humanity. It includes teh demonstration and the protest of the people in the society against the manufacturing of leather skin belts and other wollen clothes by people in the society. Sagoof view takes into consideration the preservation of the animals which is important. It includes factors leading to their extinction. If animals of particluar species are not alive due to a change of habitat or infection, then hunting or illegal killing of the animals is restricted or not possible. It will affect my skin industries, meat shops and other food organizations where animal food is regulary provided and relished. Sagoff and leopold views the effects of the industrial and natural chemcals which affect the living of these animals in forests and ocaens leading to their death by intoxication.
