Explanation / Answer

Here ,

Here,
In parallel for capacitor ,
Ceq = c1 + C2
and in series ,

1/ Ceq = 1/c1 + 1/c2 + ...

A) as C1 , C2 and C3 are in series

1/C5 = 1/50 + 1/196 + 1/200

C5 = 33.2 uF

now , C5 and C4 are in parallel,

Ceq = 33.2 + 134

Ceq = 167.2 uF

the total capacitance is 167.2 uF

B)

R = 1090 Ohm

C)

Time constant , T = RC

T = 1090 * 167.2 *10^-6

T = 0.1822 s

the time costant is 0.1822 s

D)

Q = 36.5 * 167.2 *(1 - e^(-0.544/.182))

Q = 5794.6 uC

Charge is 5.794 *10^-3 C

E)

2.21 *10^-3 = 36.5 * 167.2*10^-6 *(1 - e^(-t/.1822))

t = 0.082 s

time is 0.082 s
