A. It might be mumps.

B. Dignosis can be done by virus culture or blood test. If mumps present then blood test can detect the antibodies.

C. Left side facial swelling is because of swollen parotid gland. which is called as parotitis.

D. even if he took MMR vaccine but if he was in contact with the person having mumps.then there are great chances of getting mumps.
