Question

Answer the questions about the following objects. Find the density of the following sphere. the radius of this sphere, r = 6cm, and the mass is 4,200 kg. find the buoyant force when this sphere is submerged in the liquid which density is 1.2 g/cm^3 Find the density of the object which has depicted in the following diagram. A battery has an emf of 6.50 V and an internal resistance of 60 ohm Its terminal arc connected to a load resistance of 1.240kohm Find voltage at the internal resistor Calculate the electric power to the load resistor.

Explanation / Answer

3) a) density = mass/volume

V = 4/3*pi*r^3

V = 4/3*pi*(6x10^-2)^3 = 9.048x10^-4 m^3

density = mass/voluyme = 4.2/9.048x10^-4

density = 4642.02 Kg/m^3

b) buoyant force = Volume*density of fluid*g

density of fluid = 1.2 g/cm^3 = 1200 kg/m^3

B = 9.048x10^-4*1200*9.8 = 10.64 N

c) Weight of object = 10 N

m*g = 10

m = 10/g

m = volume*density = 10/g

volume = 10/g*density

Weight of fluid = 7 N

Total weight after immersion = 12N

Total weight = Weight of object + Weight of fluid - buoyant force

12 = 10+7 - buoyancy force

buoyancy force = 17-12 = 5 N

Volume*density of fluid*g = 5 N

10*density of fluid*g/g*density of object = 5

density of object = 2*density of fluid

density of object = 2*1200 = 2400 kg/m^3

4) a) current = V/ (R+r)

i = 6.5 / (1.24x10^3 + 60)

i = 5x10^-3 A

voltage at internal resistor = i*r = 5x10^-3*60 = 0.3 V

b) power = i^2*R

P = [5x10^-3]^2*1.24x10^3 = 0.031 = 31x10^-3 W

P = 31 mW
