Question
A ball is thrown horizontally from a position A (x0=0, y0=h) with a speed of vA = 6m/s as shown. If ball strikes the ground in t = 1s determine the height h and range R.
So for the range I have dx=Vx*t which I calculated to be 6m. However for the height I am not sure how to find that since I was not given an angle or would that be assumed?
b. The catapult is used to launch a ball at angle = 40°. Determine the initial speed of the ball (speed of release) if range of the ball is 20 ft.; initial position of the ball is: x0=0, y0=15 in.
