1. Increasing healthcare cost:
The speaker talks about the increasing healthcare cost in the U.S. He says that about 40 percent of the total healthcare cost can be saved by leading a healthy life. Further, health cost is going to be increased in the future.
2. Obesity:
Obesity increases among young adults worldwide. It increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Reducing cholesterol level by 25percent will minimize the risk from 90% to 10%.
3. Change lifestyle:
Each one should take responsibility for their own health. Teaching and practicing good lifestyle among the employees, families, colleagues will increase the overall lifespan of the people. Special focus on children about good lifestyle practices because they need to have a long healthy life.

1. Most of the chronic diseases are occurred due to stress, lifestyle practices compared to DNA transmission(hereditary). Research studies say that Almost 70% to 80% of disease is due to the factors of stress, over workload, and pressure and only 25% are due to hereditary. The employee health promotion program should focus on stress management, providing a favorable workplace environment, and other health promoting factors.
2. Most of the country's economy is utilizing for the healthcare management. The individual has to spend a lot of the money on the insurance program. The employer has to promote the health programme which increases the wellness of an employee and does not affect their roles in the organization. Offering insurance program based on the employee needs and it should not burden the individual and national economy.
3. What relevance does this video have for your career as a practitioner in exercise science or community health promotion? Provide and fully discuss two examples.
Today, the role of practitioners has increased in an exercise program and community health settings. Nurses are more involved in reducing risky behavior through smoking cessation, alcohol and drug addiction withdrawal and treatment. They promoting health education along with personnel in health promotion and lifestyle modification. For example, people with high cholesterol level are educated about diet and exercise and offering medication to lower the cholesterol level. In an organization, the employees are formed into a small group and make them discuss about the high-fat diet and their risks. They also providing gyms to workout.
Another example is promoting on-going education for chronic disease management, reduction of symptoms, and prevention of complications through proper management and change of lifestyle practices. Focusing on the pregnant woman and teaching about nutritious diet and the importance of breastfeeding to have a healthy child in the future.
