Question

This week we have read Colson Whitehead's article and have obtained many ways to explain our good and bad writing habits. We have also seen that there is probably not one golden rule that will work for everybody. Choose two of Whitehead's suggestions and tell us why you think they will help you as a writer. Explain with your own experience. Not sure where to start? Here's my example (NO STEALING OF MY EXAMPLE ALLOWED!) The first rule that works for me is Revise. Revise. Revise. because as a student I learned to put my work away when I was distracted or tired--then when I went back to it the next day I would easily find errors that I had been overlooking. As Whitehead tells us, every edit contributes to a new draft. Think of a blank page on a new day as a new start and you will not be as stressed next time you click on MS WORD.

Explanation / Answer

I impressed and follow the rule of Colson whitehead's

Write what you know. One should have the clear view of what he/she is going to write. One should have the wisdom and idea of the related topic and literature. Able to produce it in a right way. Take the notes and tips before putting into your paper. The content should be concise, clear and direct. The writing process should enabled with day to day experience. It should reach the audience in a right way. As a teacher, My writing should be simple for easy understanding of the student, and content should be enough to give the proper explanation to the student. Writing of too much or complex matters will make the student become bored early.

Don't go searching for a subject, let your subject find you: Is another important rule to think more about it. The writer should be broad-minded so the outcome of writing should consist of more things. The writing should not be in a single direction. It should be broad enough to cover all related things. By reading the topic, the reader should get knowledge on multiple things. For example, my writing should interact with the multiple subjects so that the student will correlate the one thing with other and they will apply the in-depth of knowledge in practice.
