From times 1 to 4 both currents are positive (counterclock wise) current in A is larger than current in B so A is brighter than B in does intervals. At t5 the current in A is almos zero (it could be taken as if the bulb is not lit) and the current in B has now changed direction(clockwise) but since the current is bigger, bulb B is brighter than A
