Question

how can i solve this?

Greater than The speed is zero at 20 sec Greater than The x-acceleration is zero at 58 sec. Greater than The x-acceleration is zero at 10 sec At 50 sec, the speed is as high as it gets. False Greater than The speed at 73 sec is the speed at 50 sec. Equal to The acceleration magnitude at 15 sec is the acceleration magnitude at 36 sec the change in speed, should let you estimate the magnitude of the acceleration Submit Answer Incorrect. Tries 2/10 Previous Tries Using the graph above, calculate the average speed of the car for the period 0

Explanation / Answer

To claculate the speed at any instant of time, you have to measure the slope of the grapf. If slope is zero, speed is zero,if slope is positive, velocity is positive and if slope is negative the velocity is negative. The greater the slope greater is the speed. If there is change in slope at any instant of time, then there is acceleration. If slope increses there is acceleration and if slope decreses body is decelerating.

The speed is zero at t=20secs

The acceleration is less than zero at t =58 secs

The acceleration is zero at t=10sec

The speed is as high as it gets at t=50secs- This is true

The speed at t=73secs is less than speed at t=50 secs

The acceleration at t=15secs is less than acceleration at t=36 secs

Average velocity( between time t=0 and t= 40sec) = Distance travelled / time interval = 400m/ 40 secs

= 10 m/sec
