Identify a planning model that could be used to help determine the needs of the community and provide justification for your selection.

The Planning model that would help to determine the needs of my community is survey. Written survey that is distributed at community meeting or event. The reason for my selection is because this type of survey in this setting will allow for a high return rate compare to surveys that are mailed mostly have a low return rate.

Select a strategy for conducting a cross-sectional survey (i.e. mail, internet, telephone, or face-to-face) and provide a justification for your selection by outlining the following criteria:

Click proofing.

Under When correcting spelling & grammar in Word, be sure the Check grammar with spelling is selected by checking the box.

Select the Show readability statistics by checking the box.

Then, when the document is complete, click spell check. Once spelling and grammar check is complete, you should see a box regarding readability (see reading level).

Record the readability statistics.

Explanation / Answer

1. The relation between survey and Generalized Model

The generalised model shows the relationship between the dependent or a response variable and a set of the predictor variable. Here the data that we collected use the survey methodology.

2. Strategy to use in survey

It seems the person - person or the face to face strategy will work best in this case.

Because when it comes to disease people do not prefer to answer through the mail or through an online survey (internet), many times pieces of information were wrong.

In the case of a Telephone survey, it is preferred to use a large sample size.

So the traditional person - person strategy is the best option.

3. Type of information needed

Here we need to collect a variety of information like :

health status, health issues, knowledge regarding health and risk factors, demographic characteristics, social and physical environmental quality etc.

4. From whom the information is needed :

In cross-sectional studies, pieces of information are collected at a single time either from the whole population or from a representative subset of the population.

But in our case, as the sample size will not be very large so it is preferred to collect the information from the whole sample population.
