Lab 2 Vector Addition Objectives After finishing this experiment you should be able to finds the resultant of adding two vectors by three methods: experimentally, by components, and graphically. Then the angle and mass hung over a third pulley are adjusted until it balances the other two forces. This third force is called the equilibrant (Fr) since it is the force which establishes equilibrium Since th system is equ liar um The equilibrant force is not the same as the resultant force (FR). Net Force in Y direction = 0.49 * sin0 + 0.98 * sin120 + 0.88 * sin270 + 0.88 * sin90
= 0.8487 N
Thus, equivalent force = 0.8487 N
Direction of force = 90 degree
