(k = 1/4 pi element_0 = 8.99 times 10^9 N middot m^2/C^2) A 25-m wire of diameter 0.30 mm draws 0.499 A when connected across a 3.0-V potential difference. What is the resistance of the wire? What is the resistivity of the material from which the wire is made?

d = 0.3 mm, r= 0.15 mm, L = 25 m , V= 3 V, I = 0.499 A

(A) From ohms law V = IR

0.3 = 0.499*R

R = 0.6 ohms

(B) R = pL/A

0.6 = p*25/(3.14*(0.3*0.001)^2)

Resistivity p = 6.78*10^-9 ohm.m
