Ramayan : Ramayan is the Indian sanskrit epic which was written by sage Balmiki. It was written around 500BC to 100BC.Ram is the hero of this story. It is the story of Rama the elder son of Dasharatha who was the king Ayodhya and Ram's wife Sita whom Ravana the king of Lanka kidnapped. Dasharath send Ram to the forest because he made a vow a long time ago. That time Sita and lakshman also went with him in the forest. Ravana kidnapped Sita when Ram,Lakshman (Ram's younger brother) and Sita were living in the forest for 14 years. After many battle Ram defeat Ravana and Ram resqued Sita from Ravana's cluthches with help of an army of monkeys after ten month. But after coming in Ayodhya Ram heard about Sita's imagined indiscretions which people made gossip. So, he again sent Sita to the forest where she give birth twin sons named Lob and Kush. But at last when Sita came infront of Ram with sons, Ram Wanted explanations and then Sita vanishes into the earth.

Mahabharata : Mahabharata is an another epic which was written by Ved Vyas. It is a story of two families Pandava and Kourava., Ended with the 18 days battle of kurukhetra where pandava wins. Pandava were 5 brothers and their father was Pandu. Kourava were 100 brothers and their father was blind Dhritarastra. It was a vie among the cousins for throne of hastinapur . The epic says about marriage,birth property rights etc as it can be seen also in present. Marriage of Draupadi is one of the important topic in this epic. Five brothers of pandava wanted to marry her. In a Dice game pandava loss and they went to exile . After their return the great battle of Kurukhsetra was happened among pandava and kourava for eighteen days. In this battle pandava won and then karna , Draupadi, pandavas and Sons of Dhritarastra ascended to Swarga stated to gods and at last they bended together.
