Explanation / Answer

a) Roland berger in his research concluded that in a period of 2013 and 2030 the world's 97% of the population will be seen in the developing nations such as South Asia(India,china) Africa etc.Many demographers forsee that till 2050 world population is to reach 9billion(africa from 900million to 2billions,South Asia from 1.6 to 2.5 billion).

So from the above researches i dont think that the developing nations could deal with the population growth and will not enjoy permanent state of low birth and death rates.

b) Controling population growth is not a day's job it takes decades to see results of the steps taken earlier.Developed nations such as india have taken several measures of which the most important is to promote contraceptions.Although it has been seen the population growth is concentrated to parts of the world where literacy rate is low.Low literacy rates promotes population growth creating less awareness for contraception.

Another important steps taken by developing nations is to promote women empowerment and educate women.A best example is Kerela,india where the literacy rates are high and has seen lowest fertility rates.It has been seen that a few years of high education rates can helps in shaping the population growth rate.

c)In 90s the United Nations planned a 20 years program to control population, restrict it to 7.8billion by 2050.In 1994 international conference of on population development united states along with 178 goverments aimmed at population control and development.Yes so more affluent nations have responsibility to help underdeveloped nations stabilize their population growth.

Elizabeth chacko said that that the population is most concentrated in the urban cities and coastal plains,the population density is not even through out.And higher population densityaccounts for higher crime rates, more chances of spread of epidemics.
