Question

Reaction papers are a form of essay response papers I like to use in my courses. They are meant to elicit logical reasoning and problem solving on real world issues, many of which are controversial. However, this is a public health course, so the expectation is that the reaction paper will be written from the public health perspective. You are to utilize citations and references for supporting your argument or "reaction" to the topic.

Papers should be typed in Microsoft Word or another word processor and submitted by upload in Canvas:

12 pt Calibri Font. 1.5 spacing, 1 inch margins, at least 1 page in length (don't go crazy and send me a 4 page paper, it wont get you a better grade)
References and citations must be used in writing your response, ADA format

Paper #1 topic: Climate change and public health (and epidemiology!).

Climate change has the potential to be a major factor in future public health research and practice and may have the effect of an everlasting impact on the public's health. Research and discuss one or more aspects of how climate change will effect the future of public health and the role that epidemiology will play.

Explanation / Answer

Answer : Impact of climate change on health has been due to several reasons.

Due to burning of fossil fuels, the global temperatures are rising. Due to which climate change occurs and it has adverse impact on human health. Tropical and sub-tropical areas, deserts observe extreme rise in temperature and as a result people die for heatstroke, dehydration.

Also, due to global warming the north and south poles ice caps are melting, which would lead to the reduction of landmass and area for increasing population to survive.

Adaptability is generated over a long period of time. While some animals show quick adaptability, humans are slow in the process of evolution as they have better proof reading abilities, which prevent any mutations to pass through.
