Answer 6)An attempt has been taken to prevent the errosion by storm waves in the area as seen in the figure by afforestation. Lots of trees have been planted in the area. Trees are meant to provide anchorage to the soil and prevents them from getting erroded by the storm waves. Hence this is a preventative measure for protecting the soil from getting erroded.
Answer 7)The materials erroded from the cliff during this long period has been accumulating at the base of the cliff. Later they have kept washing away by the storm waves from the nearby Lake. The rate of errosion of the cliff is hence aggrevated by the storm action of the waters from Lake Michigan.
Answer 8) The levels of water in the Lake Michigan will keep rising before the stability of the cliff. The cliff gets erroded rigourously by the devastating storm waves from the Lake. Thus the cliff materials are washed away from the shore into the lake, and the water level keeps rising and approaches to the shore and hence a continuous errosion takes place.
