1.33 * sin(42) = 1 * sinr

r= 62.87 degree

distance where the light is emerging from the water to diver = 4.5 * tan(42)=4.05m

distance of the person from the emerging point = 1.7/ tan(90 - 62.87)=3.32

distance of the person = his distance from the edge + distance between the edge and emerging point

3.32 = 2.3 + distance between the edge and emerging point

distance between the edge and emerging point = 1.02 m

total distance = 4.05 + 1.02

distance is the diver from the edge of the lake = 5.07 m
