2.1)Why do very light gases such as hydrogen not exist in earth's atmosphere, but do exist in the atmospheres of the giant planets?
A:The existing hydrogen on earth is almost all combined with oxygen, in the form of water. The remaining hydrogen in the form of gas is so light that escapes from the atmosphere. The giant planets has a gravity as such as is posible to catch and hold the light gases, as hydrogen.
2.2) Why does the moon have no atmosphere?
A: This is because the moon has no enough force of gravity to keep the gases within it, since these are very light.
3.1)Does a manometer (with one side open) measure absolute pressure or gauge pressure?
A: it measures gauge presure.
3.2) How about a barometer?
A: This device measures atmospheric pressure.
3.3) A tire pressure gauge?
A: Actually, this is used to measure the pressure of tires on a vehicule.
3.4) A sphygmomanometer?
A: This is a medical instrument that measures the blood presure in humans.
4) A: the scuba will be able to breath, but the pressure under water increases with depth, so that the deeper he dives, the pressure will exert a force that will prevent the diver breathing eventually.
