The friction between the mass and the table is negligible. It collides and sticks to a second mass (m2= 5kg) which is at rest at the end of the table. Both masses fly off the end of the table and land x from the table.

What is the kinetic energy of the mass (m1=5kg) transferred by the spring when it is fully extended?
