How does your measured value of resonant angular frequency compare to the theoretical value of resonant angular frequency? Is the plot of the current, I, versus frequency, f, symmetrical about the resonant frequency? Explain. At resonance, X_L = X_C so that the impedance (Z) is equal to the resistance (R). Calculate the resistance of the circuit by using the amplitude of the current at resonance in the equation R = V/I, where V is the amplitude of the applied voltage. Is this resistance equal to 10 ohms? Why not?

You first need to complete the Table 1 using the formula already provided in the column header. Then the resonat frequency will be the one for the condition at which XL = XC.

Then you must be provided with a theoretical value of resonant frequency as well.

Compare the calculated frequency with the theoretical one and measure the difference, if any, by subtraction the two values.
