This is just the experiment to calculate focal length of lens and image height.
If light will enter parallel to lens then u =0 then v =f so just y seeing image distance focal length of lens can be found out.
For 2 part we are firstly measuring the height from the screen of the image and then calculating it using theoratical formula for focal length and image height.
And then same experiment is there for concave lens.
