A certrifuge is a device that separates particles within liquid. Centrifuges are used for testing materials in medical and clinical trials.
When the tube spins, the centripetal force pulls the materials towards the centre. Materials which are denser have high inertia are pushed outwards and the less dense material is pulled inwards.
It is used to separate transfusable components from blood in blood donation. It is also used to separate RBCs from plasma.
