Basically I know how to do this if we ignore this effect,but why can we ignore it, and can someone calculate the result ifwe don't ignore it? Since you already know how to do this problem, I won't worry aboutit. However, your question intrigues me. Take into account that the rotation of the Earth has MANY factors.There is not simply velocity going in one direction across theEarth. It is also "tipped" and the gravitational pulls are variedbecause of the Earth's orbit. There is a reason you are asked to ignore certain effects such asthis one. It would be very difficult to calculate the problemwithout ignoring the Earth's rotation. The fact is that we MUST ignore this problem if we are to learn thebeginnings of physics. Later on, you learn much more aboutaccuracy, but this problem would be much to difficult to take intoaccount the Earth's rotation.
