1. False, this does not have to happen. Constantspeed going around in a circle still has a net force acting on iteven though there is no acceleration. The statement can betrue, but it doesn't take into account direction. 2. False, Newton's third law - for every action, thereis an equal and opposite reaction, so the force the car exerts onthe truck must be equal to the force that the truck exerts on thecar. 3. False, if there are no outside forces, the objectwill continue moving at a constant velocity. This an exampleof Newton's First Law. To keep a car moving at constantspeed, you need to apply a force to keep the car moving because youhave the force of friction from the road and the air slowing thecar down, yet an object in space free from the the graviationalfield of planets will keep moving with no outside forces. 4. False, this goes back to my answer to one. Anobject can be moving in a circle with constant speed but a netforce is acting on an object. 5. True, since velocity is a vector, directionmatters. By adding a net force to an object, the magnitude ofthe velocity can stay the same, but since direction also matterswhen you are discussing velocity, by changing direction, you arechanging the velocity. Speed is a scalar quantity and that iswhy for the first one, the answer was false. Hope that helps
