Question
A roller-coaster car has a mass of 1030 kg when fully loadedwith passengers. As the car passes over the top of a circular hillof radius 23 m, its speed is not changing. (a) Atthe top of the hill, what is the normal force (using the negativesign for the downward direction) FN on the carfrom the track if the car's speed is v = 7.4 m/s?(b) What is FN if v =18 m/s? Sorry but my anwsers still are wrong, i dont know why.. i got7622N for part a, and for part b, -4326N Thank you A roller-coaster car has a mass of 1030 kg when fully loadedwith passengers. (a) At the top Fn - mg = m(-v2 / r ) Fn = m ( -v2 /r + g ) = 7641 N (b) If the velocity v = 18m/s Fn = m ( -182 /23 + 9.8) = -4415 N Here the direction of the normalforce opposite i.e., downwards.Related Questions
