So here , Vab =5+10 = 15 V ( measured along upper branch ) So current through ab = Vab / resistance in ab = 15 /10 =1.5 A As Va>Vb , so conventional current will flow from a to b inmiddle branch . Let current through lower branch be i towards right . Vab =Vcd => 15 = 7i +4 (measured along lower branch ) => i = 1.57 A Also as current comes out to be positive . so our assumption isright and current indeed flows towards right in lower branch .
