Question

A cylinder,A, is connected to a second cylinder B. B has a piston with diameter of 10 cm. Intially A contains an ideal monatomic gas with V=30L ,P=10MPa,T=300K. Volume in B is zero. Attached to the piston is a spring with k=1x10^5NThe gas from A is allowed into B compressing the spring. Equilbrium is eventually established with the T=300K throught the system.
Calculate the distance by which the spring is compressed in the the final equilbrium state and the work done on the gas.

I have no idea were to begin any ideas?
