1.Cosmetic industry

Now a days some cosmetic industries are using microplastics with natural ingredientes . These are more often found in face wash , scrubbers ,hand washes etc. in the form of polyethylene, polypropylene, naylon etc. These are small size fibres and very light weighted ,which are hardly removed from waste water treatment,without specific treatment. therefore they directly go with effluents form treatment units into the river or lakes.

2.coastal tourism and shipping.

Coastal tourism is major contributor of marine pollution.commercial fishing , recreational activity and marine industries are all source of microplastics which is directly enter in ocean. And waste generated in ship generally directly thrown into tha rivers or oceans. The lager plastics are degraded and form microplactics which adersely affect the marine animals and plants.
