Explanation / Answer

Boston was thumped by historic series of stroms that dumped 100+ inches of snow, the area's public transport system massachusetts bay transportation authority (MBTA).

but day after day of fresh snowfall that covered rail tracks and roadways accompained by frigid temperatures paved too much far a nation's oldest subway system. mechanical failures forced widespread trip collection and lenghtly service delays on commuter rail & subway lines, leaving frustated riders running late. twice the entire system was shutdown so that T could dug out buses clear snowoff tracks and make some trains switches and other electrical componments functioned $3.3billiion debt burden put on T by the state during big dig highway project, costly labour and other contracts and a culture of ineffenciency and sometimes mismanagment at the quari public agency.

traffic congestion and unreliable public transit condition of our transportatiojn system cost us. rising of tax and utilizing it to road, bridges and transit system. without new source of revenue funding transportation become a zero sum game, pitting a needs of great boston against the rest of the state which has plently waited for transport system.

The MBTA's subway system suffered 472 major mechanical failures in 2014, due to power problem, trains had stopped moving orange line trains are 3 decades old were in line for replacment later this year. The secondary problem is contractor scanning the MBTA and this is pretty big problem. still there are many problems but only way to reduce is to take fast actions and look over government controlwe cant overcome weather problems but technology will overcome transit problems.
