"Drawing is the language of engineers". It is a tool of representing the ideas which generate in ones mind. An architect imagins a design of structure but he can not share his imaginations accurately wthout the help of drawing. In contemporary world a structure has to be furnished with evrey modern facilities and engineers has analyse the efficiency the given structure in all respect. Generally a structure (which is to be built) needs approval from various depatments , and without a detailed drawing it is not possible for any person to understand the basics of the structure and hence can not take a proper decision regarding the structure. AUTOCAD is that platform (software) which provides all the facilities to an architech or an engineer so that he can put his ideas of the structure in drawing form that enables every person to understand the structure clearly.
Autocad helps in drawing various views of a structure so that the structure can be accurately projected. Good engineers focus on communicating their design intensions throgh the use of engineering drawing and hence autocad is helpful.
In autocad drawing sharing of drawing file is easy and it provides the facility of working different professionals on the same drawing and at the same time. For example drawing is needed by electrical engineers to design electrical requirements of the structure. Also at the same time it is needed by interior designer for interiors. Autocad drawing is done in various layers which enables every other profssional to off the layer which is of no use to them.
Detailed autocad drawing of various elements of structure ( column, beam, slab etc) helps civil site engineer to execute the work easily. It provides the information of various reinforcement, stirrups, hooks etc for error free execution. so we can say drawing(autocad drawing) is the only communicating language between client, contractor and engineer.
