Question
There are 6 pendulumsA - mass: 4 kg; height: 30 cm B - mass: 2 kg; height: 30 cm C - mass: 8 kg; height: 15 cm D - mass: 3 kg; height: 45 cm E - mass: 2 kg; height: 60 cm F - mass: 1 kg; height: 60 cm
Q1: Rank each pendulum on the basis of the maximum kineticenergy it attains after release.
Q2: Rank eachpendulum on the basis of its maximum speed.
I'm thinking thatthe answer to Q1 is B=F < A=C=E < D and the answer to Q2 is C< A < D < B=E < F
Can anybodydouble-check the answers for me? I'm not exactly sure if Iapproached Q1 right, I think maximum kinetic energy is just equalto potential energy but I'm not sure.

Explanation / Answer
D > A = C = E >B =F
The speed of the bob is proportional to themaximum height.
E = F >D > A = B >C
