What is throwing me off is that the acceleration is increasing, butdoes that not mean its positive since it going downward. Samewiith the velocity?

Use P, N,and Z for positive (upward), negative, andzero, respectively. Separate the letters for velocity andacceleration with a comma. I can't see the figure, but if the acceleration is increasing inthe negative direction, then -if the velocity is initially in the positive direction it willdecrease and eventually change directions then increase again -if the velocity is initially in the negative direction it willincrease
