Question

I got the velocity and angle but i dont know what equation touse for the second half of the question. could anyone help me out
A river flows due east at 1.10 m/s. A boat crosses the riverfrom the south shore to the north shore by maintaining a constantvelocity of 15.0 m/s due north relative to the water.
(a) What is the velocity of the boat relative to shore? 15.04m/s at 85.8 degrees north of due east
If the river is 220 m wide, how far downstream has the boatmoved by the time it reaches the north shore? I got the velocity and angle but i dont know what equation touse for the second half of the question. could anyone help me out

time taken to cross the river=width/velocity=220/15.04=14.62sec

so the distance through which the boat moved by the time it reachesthe north shore=1.10*14.62=16.082m
