This will put the ball at is's maximum height andzero velocity, which results in greatest gravitational PE. -- (B): The ball has its maximum KE at the point it is released andthe point it is caught, because: 1/2mv^2 = mgh -- So, the velocity given to obtain a height, will result in thesame KE when it caught at the height released. -- (C): The mechanical energy is directly related to the PE and KEdescribed above.
