Question
C Exercise 20.2 Part A What is the flux through the loop's plane if it is parallel to the field? A circular loop with an area of 2.0x10-2 m2 is ina uniform magnetic field of 0.40 T Express your answer using two significant figures. Submit My Answers Give Up Part B What is the flux through the loop's plane if it is at an angle of 35o to the field? Express your answer using two significant figures. 0 Submit My Answers Give Up Part C What is the flux through the loop's plane if it is perpendicular to the field? Express your answer using two significant figures.Explanation / Answer
Solution:
a) As given in the question the loop's plane is prallel to the magnetic field.
so using flux = B A cos = 90
Hence flux = 0 Tm^2
b) flux = B A cos
=> flux = 0.40 x 0.002 x cos 55
=> flux = 0.000458 Tm^2
=> flux = 4.6 x 10^-4 Tm^2
c) flux = B A cos
=> flux = 0.40 x 2 x 10^-2
=> flux = 8.0 x 10^-3 Tm^2
