Explanation / Answer

Ans. Coatomer-coated II vesicles bud from endoplasmic reticulum and eventually fuse with the Golgi network

-Active ADP ribosylation factor (ARF-GTP) binds to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and recuits coatomer proteins to the site of vesicle formation.

The G protein, guanine nucleotide exchange factor mediates the formation of endoplasmic reticulum-derived COP vesicles.

Coatomer-coated II vesicles bud or COPII is a coat protein that transfers protein from rough endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi. number of factors are involved in transporting of protein from rough ER to Golgi. one of the factors was Active ADP ribosylation factor which binds to GTP. Guanine nucleotide exchange factor stimulates the release of GDP from the ARF (COPI vesicle) and allow GTP to bind with the ARF forms the ARF-GTP complex which binds to the endoplasmic reticulum. once ARF-GTP complex established it recruits the coatmer protein at the ER membrane and initiates the vesicle formation.
