a) using fig 3.7 , Vbe = 800 mV & Vcb = 10 V

Intersection seems to be about 10 mA = Ie (not very clear from the jpeg)

b) from fig 3.8, Ic = 5mA & Vcb = 10V , Ie = 5mA

then from gig 3.7 we get Vbe= 0.75 V or 750 mV
