I found Vth = 4volts, In = 8/5 A, & Rt = 2.5 ohm.
But I remember that we were also told that we could find Rt using a test signal method by injecting a 1A source where Voc is located. Ii tried it by I haven't gotten Rt = 2.5 ohm. How do you use the test signal method here?





In the following circuit find the open-circuit voltage and the short-circuit current between nodes a to b and determine the Thevenin and Norton equivalent of the network between nodes a and b.

If there are both dependent and independent sources.

3) Connect a short circuit between a and b.

4) Determine the current between a and b.

5) Rth = Voc / Iab
