Question
Hi, I am following the solution to this problem and I amcomfortable up to the statement that Z=ZL||ZC it seems to me that this should beexpressed as Z=( ZL*1/jC)/(ZL+jC) I havenot been able to follow the steps taken toexpress Z= ZL||ZC as1/Z=1/ZL +jC. Secondly, even if i continue withoutunderstanding this relationship I do not understand why 1/ZL = 5.5 X 103 - j4.12 X10-3 instead of 1/(116.37 +j87.24) which by mycalculation would be 8.5 X10-3 + j1.14 X 10-2Any insight to my oversight would be appreciated!
