HI! I have hard time with this problem, please please help meout 1. Design an excess-3 code converter to drive a sevensegment indicator .the four inputs (A,B,C,D) to the convertercircuit represent an excess-3 digit. input combinationsrepresenting the number 0 through 9 should be displayed as decimaldigits. the inputs combinations 0000,0001 and 0010 should beinterpreted as an error , and an "E" should be displayed. Assumethat the input combinations 1101,1110 and 1111 will never occur.Design your circuit using only two-,three-, and four -input NORgates and inverters. any solutions with 18 or fewer gates andinverters(not counting the four inverters for the inputs) isacceptable.

Explanation / Answer

You need 4 inverters to produce A' , B' C' and D' which if u do not count you need 18 gates as given in the solution.
