Question
Could someone please show me their work for this problem, find the currents R1-R6 and the voltages across from R1-R6. Thanks for the help and sorry the picture is big. I do know that the total current is 1.63 mA but am confused what to do after that, thanks.
Explanation / Answer
Finding net resistance by taking series and parallel combinations ==> 4.257 k => net current = 5/4.257k = 1.174 mA ==> Voltage drop at R1 = 1.174 mA * 3000 = 3.522 Volts and current flowing = 1.174 mA Voltage drop at R2 = (5- 3.522)0.5/2.2 =0.336 Volts and current flowing = 1.174*2.933/(2.2+2.933) = 0.671 mA Voltage drop at R3 = (5- 3.522)1.7/2.2 =1.424 Volts and current flowing = 1.174*2.933/(2.2+2.933) = 0.671 mA Voltage drop at R4 = (5- 3.522)=1.478 Volts and current flowing = 1.478/11k = 0.134 mA Voltage drop at R5 = (5- 3.522)2/4 =0.739 Volts and current flowing = 0.739/2k = 0.37 mA Voltage drop at R6 = (5- 3.522)2/4 =0.739 Volts and current flowing = 0.739/2k = 0.37 mA
