Electrical power consumed if 2 identical 50-liter tanks were simultaneously fill

Question

Electrical power consumed if 2 identical 50-liter tanks were simultaneously filled at 25 seconds (each tank). For this case, a single pump supplies gasoline to both tanks, as shown in Figure 2. A common pip with length of Lc=1m is in the supply line of the pump. Pipe lengths downstream of the separation point are equal to (L-Lc). Diameter of all pipes is 2 cm. Surface roughness of all pipes is 0.2 mm.

Find the electrical power of case 2 via graphical method. You may use an Excel file to present your characteristic curves.

Note:

efficiency = 0.7

SG gas = 0.75

viscosity of gas = 6 x 10^ -4 Pa . s

L = 3 m

H = 2 m

I know how to do the problem by hand:

Pm = 812.72 W

Pelectric = Pm/efficiency = 812.72 / 0.7 = 1161 W

I need to know how to do this problem graphically on Excel. Any help would be great. Thanks so much.

Explanation / Answer

since any help would be great,

i am trying my way... :)

change in p= 4Flu^2/2gd

F=16/Re provided laminar flow...

mass flow rate=U*A*density

substituting the given values as in the problem you get the power req.
