Question

With the following problem I have to create a position vs. time, velocity, and acceleration graphs. How would I find the position, velocity, and acceleration at time 1 sec., 2 sec.. so the prob is:

A monorail starts from rest and accelerates at a rate of 2.2 m/s^2 for 10 seconds. It runs at a constant speed for 74 sec. and slows down at a rate of 1.5m/s^2.

I need an explanation of how to find each variable at t seconds. Please elaborate my professor does not teach we have to figure it like a puzzle.

Explanation / Answer

as acceleration = v/t = at start v = 2.2*10 = 22m/s then v2 = 22m/s bcz speed is cnstant v3 = 1.5/10 = 0.15m/s now u can find t
