Question
Please provide Steps and explanations! Thank you!
The angular position of a rotating wheel is described by theta=0.8+2t-0.5t2. Find the angular displacement from t=0 to t=3 s. At what time would the wheel be at rest? The four masses are connected by rigid rods of negligible mass and are symmetric about the x- and y-axes. If the system rotates in the xy plane about the z-axis with an angular speed of 6 rad/s, calculate the moment of inertia of the system and the rotational kinetic energy of the system.Explanation / Answer
4.> = 0.8 +2t - 0.5t2
at t=0 , 1 = 0.8
at t=3s 2 = 2.3
req angular displacement = 2.3 - 0.8 = 1.5
for rest velocity should be zero
so d/dt =0 => 2-t = 0 => t=2 sec is the time when wheel will come to rest.
