Question
A particle moves on the x axis under the influence of a force, proportional to its distance from the origin, attracting it toward the origin. The particle starts from rest at x = 10 cm and reaches x = 5 cm for the first time after 2 s. Find: a. the particle's position at any time t after it starts. b. the ampIitude, period, and frequency of its motion. i asked this previously and was advised to use the kinematic eq for distance but its not a constant acceleration its porortional. and im not sure how to figure out part b. any ideas?Explanation / Answer
I think it will help you :--
at time t it will move 2.4cm amplitude will be= 0 freqency will be =0
