Of this ingested glucose, 10% is used by the red blood cells and 90% is metabolized by the remaining cells in the body. Assume ALL of this glucose is converted into ATP. The molecular weight of glucose is 180 and ATP is 507. i)Calculate the total amount (in grams) of ATP that is made by the body from this ingested glucose. SHOW YOUR CALCULATIONS

2) Total dark chocolate= 1kg or 1000 gms

Percentage of glucose in in chocolate 26%

Weight of Glucose 26% of 1000gms =260 gms (all of this is converted to ATP)

So amount of ATP produced by ingested glucose= 260 gms
