Question
When a water gun is fired while being held horizontally at a height of 1.00m above ground level, the water travels a horizontal distance of 5.00m. a child, who is holding the same gun in a horizontal position, is sliding down a 45.0 degree incline at a constant speed of 2.00m/s. if the child fires the gun when it is 1.00m above the ground and the water takes 0.329s to reach the ground, how far will the water travel horizontally?I'm not really looking for the answer, just the steps..so if you could just do that then i would be super grateful (:
Explanation / Answer
horizontal displacement only depends on horizontal velocity here horizontal velocity of child = 2cos45 so displacement = velocity * time = 2cos45 * 0.329 = 0.4652 m
