4. All the ecosystems in the world are interconnected. Change or degradation of one ecosystem directly affects the other ecosystem. The marine ecosystem is the largest ecosystem in the world. A large amount of oxygen is generated by the oceans. In a past few years, it has been facing a great threat. Due to pollution, climate change, acid rain, and eutrophication; there is the great threat to the marine ecosystem of the world. Acidification, coral bleaching and extinction of the species can be seen. The marine ecosystem is largest, so it required the contribution of the entire world for conservation. Human population is dependent on it directly or indirectly to the larger extent. Thus, marine conservation is more international than the terrestrial conservation.
5. Loss of a population led to the extinction of a species. When the population lost, then the chances of reproduction replacement will be highly diminished. The intermixing of the population will be decreased. this will reduce the evolution and ultimately become one of the main reasons for extinction.
6. A metapopulation is a group of population which get separated from other individuals of its own kind due to landscape fragmentation. The metapopulation is similar to the main population and it can reproduce among each other. this population is separated by land only. The metapopulation is considered as sub-population. It is formed mainly by separation of species which can occur due to fragmentation of land, migration of species in search of better opportunities and separation due to natural calamities.
