Discoveries in DNA, cell biology, evolution, and biotechnology have been among the major achievements in biology over the past 200 years with accelerated discoveries and insights over the last 50 years. Consider the progress we have made in these areas of human knowledge. Present at least three of the discoveries you find to be most important and describe their significance to society, health, and the culture of modern life.
Explanation / Answer
Significant development in molecular biology:
Biology is the study of all life forms - microorganisms, plant and animals. In the beginning the scientists only observed the external characteristics and tired to infer it with the functions and relationships of living organisms.
Key findings in molecular biology over centuries:
After the discovery of DNA is the genetic material, the scientist focussed their study still more elaborately. This field gave rise to Molecular Cell biology.
Today with all these discoveries it has given much insight on the overall structure of genome and function. We are able to relate with the disease and prevention, this again has developed a new field called Drug discovery. All these findings are done to improve the betterment of human life, It cannot stop scientists will further continue their studies to give more insight.
