the initial energy E0=5.3044Mev

to move in the range of 6.1cm we get the energy loss/length

now average energy loss via alpha particle in air =35.5ev per ion pair

using extrapolation we get that for 6.1cm specific ionization=6*10^4ev/cm=.06Mev/cm

lets consider we have x ion pairs then 35.5x=.0000355x[mev]=5.3044

or x=5.3044/.0000355=1.5*10^5

First of all Po210 is stronger than cyanide and it is aviailable in human body at low ecological conditions as well as in sea food. The emitted particles are not obsevable in Geiger counter. Its effect is similar to cancer /other ommon liver diseases like hair loss, vomitting etc. Therefore it is a clever poison.
